Larry Quicksall is an Effingham native and member of St. John’s since 1970. Larry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University in 1987, and he received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois in 1991. Larry has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1993. Over the years he has worked in the fields of mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, home health, hospital care, and death and dying. In addition, he was a member of the adjunct faculty at Lake Land College for eleven years. Larry has been in private practice as a Christian counselor since 1994 where he specializes in marriage and family growth and restoration. Larry is also a professional speaker and the author of We Need to Talk: A Practical Guide for Those Facing Terminal Illness. In addition to his private practice and speaking, Larry currently works as a hospice social worker for Lincolnland Hospice.
