Online Worship Notes for March 22, 2020

*Update 3/22/2020 – The worship service for March 22, 2020 is available here.

“For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.”    Ephesians 5:8-10

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Grace, mercy, and peace to you in the name of Jesus, the Light of the world!  These are difficult times, and God will not waste this opportunity for Him to reform and renew us.  I pray you are well.

This weekend we will worship together “online.”    There will not be an in-person Service here at the Church.  I am recording the Service for The Fourth Sunday in Lent with the help of others.  I hope you’ll worship …

  • At 10:00am Sunday morning on Mediacom local channel #81.
  • Via our Youtube Channel, which will be linked here on our website and on our Facebook page.

I urge you not only to watch, but to worship.  Take part in the prayers, the responses, the Creed, the hymns. Try to remove distractions, and make it more like being together in the pews.  Hear God’s truth and grace.  Respond in peace and joy.

The order of service is linked below.  You can print out the regular or the larger print version.  You could also use the Service order on a separate tablet or computer.

Tomorrow isn’t a Sunday off, but a Sunday on … when we, the Body of Christ, are worshiping remotely in the Light of Christ.

Do you have a prayer request?  A special need?  Would you like me to call you?  Please reach out with a reply to this email, or by calling me at 309-255-5580.  We want to know how we can minister to and with you.

Someday soon we’ll be back inside the Church.  Already now we are the Church, secure in Christ’s redeeming grace and truth.  Pray for one another.  Love your neighbor.  Trust God.  He will not waste this opportunity.
In Christ,

Pastor Mike Burdick
